Urban Planner + Designer Drew is currently a final-semester Master’s student in Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he continues to pursue an understanding of, and an empowerment of, spaces and places at varying scales within natural environments and our communities. By specializing in Spatial Planning and Urban Design, he developed site analysis and skills using tools to investigate space, paired with design software, to make data-driven and context-sensitive interventions.
He is a Planning Intern at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, gaining experience in community engagement and regional housing and land-use planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver, which provided a foundation for understanding spaces in nature and communities through a concentration in environmentally resilient and vernacular design solutions.
